Young Carers

Currently, Hethersett Woodside Primary and Nursery School are working with the Benjamin Foundation to improve our provision for Young Carers. It’s reported that 1 in 5 children are classed as a young carer with 1 in 12 taking on mid to high level care. A Young Carer is ‘a young carer is a person under 18 who looks after someone in their family or a friend who is ill, disabled, or has a mental health problem or an addiction.’

Within school, we have two Young Carers Leads:

Young Carers Senior Leadership Team Lead: Mr Sam Carter – Deputy Headteacher

Young Carers Operational Lead: Mr Kev McCabe – Pastoral Lead

If you need to make contact with either Lead, please call or email the School Office – 01603 810674 / office@hethersettwoodside.org.uk

To inform us that your child is a Young Carer, please complete this Google Form.
